On June 10th, 2009, Merc Martinelli, co-founder of Verdafero, moderated a speaker panel on alternative energy for the Santa Cruz New Tech MeetUp held at the newly remodeled Dream Inn in Santa Cruz, California and attended by some 250 local technologists and entrepreneurs. Speakers included:
